In 2019, Casa Cuevas announced and released La Mandarria as a limited edition blend. In the original production only 500 boxes were produced (20-count boxes). Early in 2020 it was announced that the cigar would become a regular production line for Casa Cuevas. La Mandarria translates to sledgehammer. Casa Cuevas opted for that name in response to a burglary that took place at their warehouse in Miami in early 2019. Here is Matt's review of La Mandarria from Casa Cuevas.
The cigars from Black Works Studio (BLK WKS) are meant to be the creative and more experimental side of Oveja Negra. The fun and irreverent style of the packaging is echoed in the design of the cigars themselves. Many cigars from the line use different wrapper colors as accents, and each blend has a unique identity. The original Killer Bee is an Ecuadorian Maduro wrapper and a regular production product. That was followed by a limited release of a Killer Bee CT in 2018. The Swarm switches it up to a Cameroon wrapper leaf. Here is Matt's review of The Swarm.
