When Joya de Nicaragua introduced the Cinco Décadas to be a celebration of its 50th anniversary, it was a big hit. The cigar was a huge success with consumers and media alike, and was one of the finest cigars ever to come from the Joya de Nicaragua factory. Now, Joya de Nicaragua takes it a step further in order to pay tribute to Juan Francisco Bermejo and Simón Camacho, two pioneers in the Nicaraguan cigar industry. They call it Fundador.
“When we conceived the concept of the brand, we decided that every year until the next big anniversary, we would nationally release a size that would pay tribute to key characters that shaped the story of our company, and thus, today we commemorate the vision of two immigrant businessmen that transformed our country” said Dr. Alejandro Martinez Cuenca, Chairman and Owner of Joya de Nicaragua.
The Cinco Décadas Fundador is a 6 x 54 soft pressed Gran Toro. As with the Cinco Décadas released in 2018, the Fundador is also presented in a 10ct high-gloss lacquer box. Each cigar carries an MSRP of $20 and will begin shipping in July, 2019.
