Cohiba just announced what they are calling the fullest Cohiba to date. Called Cohiba Royale, it is a super-premium collection that will join the well known Cohiba portfolio. It will also mark the first Cohiba line to be crafted by hand in Honduras.
“Cohiba Royale was created with the cigar connoisseur in mind, bringing to life the microclimates and fertile soils of the Caribbean and Central America in a way that is unique to the brand. All of the tobaccos that comprise Cohiba Royale are hand-selected and deeply aged, representing the best of the best tobacco growing regions in the world. The result is a cigar that is as bold as it is refined, befitting of the Cohiba name.” said Sean Williams, Cohiba Brand Ambassador

Cohiba Royale has a sun-grown wrapper from Jalapa, Nicaragua, a Dominican Piloto Cubano binder, and a selection of tobaccos from the Jamastran valley in Honduras, and also from the Esteli and Jalapa growing regions in Nicaragua. Each leaf of the Cohiba Royale is aged for five to six years prior to production. They are made by hand at General Cigar’s HATSA factory in Danli, Honduras and will be available in a 4.5 x 52 Gran Royale ($23.99 MSRP), a 5.5 x 54 Robusto Royale ($25.99 MSRP), and a 6 x 50 Toro Royale ($28.99 MSRP) each available in 5 and 10-count boxes. They will ship to retailers in April of 2020.
