A new collaboration project from Crowned Heads and Drew Estate will release at IPCPR 2019. La Coalición is made by hand at La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate in Esteli, Nicaragua. This new collaboration uses a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, Sumatra binder, with filler tobaccos from Nicaragua and Dominican Republic.

Tomorrow, Hickory Cigar Club will get a special 25th Anniversary cigar that was developed for them by Crowned Heads. The HCC XXV LE 2019 is a box-pressed 5.5 x 56 cigar with a Sumatra (Ecuador) wrapper, and binder/filler leaves grown in Nicaragua. The cigars are made at Tabacalera la Alianza S.A. in The Dominican Republic.

The San Andres wrapper really sings on this cigar, and it gives a nice balance with the other leaves of sweet, spice, bitter, and earth. The smoke was plentiful, and the burn was solid on each sample. Everything that I know of this cigar informs me that it will be in regular production, so I would encourage you to go pick some up and enjoy.

In 2018, Crowned Heads released a special edition of Le Carême called the Le Carême Belicosos Finos. It was such a huge hit for the Nashville based cigar company that Crowned Heads release it again in 2019. While the regular release lines of Le Carême are trunk-pressed, the Belicosos Finos comes only in a 5.5 x 52 round Belicoso vitola.
