In a press release today, the Premium Cigar Association (PCA) made the announcement that the 2020 PCA Convention and Trade Show has been cancelled. The flagship trade show for the premium cigar industry was scheduled to take place July 10—14, 2020 at the Sands/Venetian Convention Center and Hotel. The cancellation is in response to public health concerns surrounding COVID-19.
In the wake of the news that four of the largest cigar companies will skip the PCA Show in Las Vegas this Summer, the Board of the PCA issued a statement and sent that statement to all PCA members. Here is the statement in its entirety:
Some of the biggest names in the world of Premium Cigars announced today that they will not be attending the flagship trade show of our industry. That being, the PCA Trade Show Scheduled to begin on July 10th of this year in Las Vegas. Davidoff, Altadis, General Cigar, and Drew Estate all announced in separate statements today that the PCA Trade Show will happen this year without their exhibits.
