Not only is it a show for the retailers and manufacturers to do business, it also a big yearly reunion of sorts. As we have said over and over, the premium cigar business is highly reliant on relationships. That means a big event like the PCA Trade Show can be incredibly important to maintain existing bonds and create new ones.

HBTC News:  PCA Indefinitely Furloughs Staff

Earlier today, Executive Director Scott Pearce of the Premium Cigar Association (PCA) hosted a call with PCA Member Media Organizations to announce temporary changes to PCA staffing and programs. The changes were also announced in a press release to be a result of the enduring effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting economic hardships. The entire PCA staff, including Scott Pearce, will be furloughed, with benefits, as the board and executive committee work through the financial challenges currently faced by the association.
